Something new

Cormac: What happened to my sandwich? Me: It’s something new. Peanut butter and honey.  Cormac: Where’s the jelly? Me: No jelly. I thought we could switch it up.  Cormac: Why would you ever think I want to try something new? Me: I really should know better.

Why mommies are special

Cormac: Mom, I love you so much. Do you know WHY I love you? Me: I’m intrigued. Why? Cormac: Well, I love your breasts and your hair. That’s why I love you! Me: 😳 Cormac: I love mommies so I love breasts and hair.  Me: Makes sense.  This has started with a sweet conversation about how we were so lucky to find one another through space and time. This is where we arrived

Risk and reward

Cormac: I didn’t get a stamp today because I was not good at rest time. I’m never good at rest time Me: Why’s that? Mac: It takes too long. It’s 20 minutes, mom!  I am too loud and I wake my friends.  Me: Do you think you could try to get a stamp for rest time tomorrow?  Mac: It’s not a big deal, mom. I will just get a stamp later for doing a good job at something else.  Me: 😳

Elsa

Mac: Mom, why do Olivia and Adeline and Sylvia at school love Elsa so much? Me: Hmmm. Because she’s powerful and cool and a queen and magic?  Mac: Yeah, I guess. Me: Well why do YOU love Elsa? Mac: Because she has breasts.  Yep. Makes sense.
