Wet shoes

At pickup. Cormac is rocking crocs ‘n socks because I am trying to let him make more wardrobe decisions. He gets over to the car and while standing in the middle of a puddle, removes his shoes (but not the socks) and chucks them into the open car door. 

Me: Why did you take off your shoes?! 
Mac: I didn’t want to get them wet. 
Me: 🤦‍♀️
